Jeroen Hendriks

Da Vinci Gallery

"My father got me inspired to get a passion for photography. It all started with his clearly noticeable pleasure in photography and the wonderful sound of his mirror reflex camera. My inspiration started to grow even more about ten years ago when I wandered through the south west of the United States. From Las Vegas on Highway 1 to San Fransisco. Then Yosemite NP and Death Valley to Las Vegas. Then travelling along the Grand Canyon and a beautiful range of national parks in Utah and Arizona to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. For the first time I was consciously busy making beautiful prerecordings of what I saw. My increasing desire to travel around the world was fed by the amazement for the beauty of this planet. This amazement and the wish to capture and share it, is what inspires me still in being a nature photographer".

Jeroen always carries a list in his head of places on our beautiful earth he wants to go to. The most attractive to him are the rainforest and the desert. The desert attracts him because of its overwhelming landscape. The rainforrest fascinates him because of it's abundant wildlife. On the photograph you can see Jeroen, being back in Bryce Canyon, Utah after ten years, this time in the snow.
