“The meditative silence of an early morning, the dramatic play of wind and light with clouds and landscapes, the colors of the flowers on the fields and meadows, the intensity of the human gaze …”
Sandra Bartocha was born in 1980 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany and grew up as a daughter of a photographer. Her dad picked her up from kindergarten and took her with him whenever he had an appointment outside town. Sandra always got very excited sharing the photography experience with her father and she almost instinctively knew that being a photographer would offer her a very exciting and varied life.
As an artistic nature photographer Sandra Bartocha loves to feel the elements while photographing aesthetic details and beauty in the natural world, especially water and the sea, trees and forests. The spectrum of her images reaches from classical to her own perception and interpretation of moments.
Her images have been awarded in many national and international competitions, such as GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Asferico, Glanzlichter and in the GfF – 100 Pictures of the Year competition.
“It’s a kind of freedom I feel when I’m outside photographing. I could not imagine something better.”
