French photographer Vincent Munier, was born in 1976 in the Vosges and he still lives there. The bare and savage mountainous nature of this northern French region is the ideal place to work for him.
“I was lucky to grow up in an area where nature reveals its beauty in whimsical seasons, and to discover these landscapes with my father, who taught me to respect the quietness of the wilderness while introducing me to photography.”
Vincent’s destination was determined. To dedicate himself totally to a mysterious and fragile nature and to share his experiences and emotions in an artistic way. After working a few years as a photographer for a local newspaper Vincent started his career as an independent photographer. He won several prices in competitions like the prestigious BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
His pictures are published in important magazines all over the world. The images of Vincent Munier are meant to be an artistic invitation to discover special moments in nature. Wandering through temperate forests, arctic landscapes or snowy mountains. For Vincent the aspiration always remains the same: approaching the animal in the midst of its elements and trying to touch the essence of life.
