Cedric Jacquet was born in 1968. MBA graduated, he started his career in Information Technology. A career break back in 1993 took him on a 24000 km, 6 months trip to Africa. This prooved to be a real eye-opener. It was here that his passion for photography really began. At the age of 37, Cedric Jacquet became a professional photographer.

His primary focus lies on nature & wildlife photography. His subjects are primarily waterbirds living on the shores, river deltas & lakes in most of Europe, North and central America, as well as in Africa. His work clearly shows a distinct universe of colors; either white, orange, brown, crimson or yellow. Colors arosen from a perfect conjunction of the right time, the right angle and the right eye of the artist. Beautifully shot animals with their plumage blending perfectly into the environment. “I try to emphasize on the composition and the atmosphere; on the environment rather than on the species”. The equipment he mostly uses to achieve the best result: a wide range of gear, various hides/blinds (extensive use of his self-made floating blinds), sometimes infrared or laser barriers.

Cedric Jacquet has won many international awards. His work has been published in several countries and is distributed by agencies in Europe, Asia and America.
