Sharon Mor Yosef (Jerusalem, Israel 1975) lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Sharon grew up in the Jordan Valley, where he joined Israel's leading youth magazine as a photographer and journalist, only at the age of 15. Four years later, at the age of 19, he joined the Israeli army as a military photographer and also worked as an editor of one of the army’s newspapers. After he completed his military service, talented Sharon worked some years as a producer in Tel Aviv, where he produced TV commercials, video clips, prime-time television programs and major television shows.
In the year of 2002 and although he was very successful, Sharon decided to follow his heart. He immigrated to the Netherlands, where he enrolled as a student at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, participating in the photography programme. Again he did very well; the teacher asked him to be the first student in the history of the academy to skip one year…
Besides working with his passion for photography, Sharon also regularly creates multimedia productions and participates in fashion exhibitions, combining video art, photography and sound. Today, Sharon Mor Yosef regularly publishes his amazing work in interior design, architecture and fashion magazines around Europe.
Sharon's work as a photographer can best be classified as a subtle blend of art and photography. He strives to capture strong emotions in a sensitive way. Almost as if he was capturing a glimpse of the person’s soul.
